Amy Schumer’s latest role is no laughing matter.

The comedienne is shifting 180-degrees from summer’s howler “Trainwreck” for more serious fare in PTSD drama “Thank You for Your Service,” Deadline reports.

Schumer will star opposite Miles Teller in the picture helmed by “American Sniper” writer Jason Hall in his directorial debut.

The film tells the story of a group of U.S. soldiers who struggle to segue back into civilian life after returning from Iraq.

The production is “getting underway” in Atlanta and also stars Haley Bennett (“The Girl On The Train”), Joe Cole (“Peaky Blinders”), Beulah Koale (“The Last Saint”), Scott Haze (“Child of God”), Keisha Castle-Hughes (“Whale Rider”), Brad Beyer (“42”), Omar Dorsey (“Selma”) and Jayson Warner Smith (“The Birth of a Nation”).
