Candace Payne, whose joyous Chewbacca mask video blew up Facebook, swung by James Corden’s “Late Late Show” for one of his signature carpool segments — and Corden made it clear he was not impressed with her viral stardom.
“I have got to get to work,” Corden grumbles as he sits in the car with Payne at the wheel. “Is there any way we can leave now and hurry this up?”
“It’s not me making the noise, it’s the mask! I’m such a happy Chewbacca!” Payne says, then puts on the mask and bursts into the laughter that spawned tens of millions of video streams.
“I know you’re a happy Chewbacca,” replies Corden. “You know that doesn’t sound anything like Chewbacca, right?”
Suddenly, J.J. Abrams appears in the backseat. “I’ve got to disagree,” says the director of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” “That’s an excellent Chewbacca.”

Later in the show, Corden reads a letter from Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhew, thanking Payne for her video and giving her VIP tickets to a “Star Wars” fan event in her hometown of Dallas to meet him.
