Daisy Ridley Considered for Lara Croft ‘Tomb Raider’ Role

Daisy Ridley may be on quite the roll!

The “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” star is apparently being considered for the iconic role of Lara Croft in the “Tomb Raider” reboot, according to Deadline.

If things go in the British starlet’s favor, she will have some big shoes to fill, as the original action-packed role memorably went to Angelina Jolie.

The film, based on the popular video game resembling Indiana Jones, is still in very early stages. It is said to be released by Warner Bros. and MGM, with Graham King producing.

‘Star Wars’ Boosts Daisy Ridley’s Career

Ridley catapulted to fame last year playing heroine Rey in director J.J. Abrams‘ “Star Wars” sequel, which earned more than $926 million domestic in its Dec. 28 release and $2.05 billion worldwide.

The rising star was recently nominated for several MTV Movie Awards, including best female performance, breakthrough performance (along with John Boyega), best hero and best fight; as well as best ensemble cast. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart will co-host the 25th annual ceremony on April 10 at 8 p.m.
