'Dope' Is New on Netflix for February 2016

dope-DOPE_037_rgb-1024x385Around this time last year, “Dope” was a favorite among the film festival circuit, scoring kudos from critics at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and Cannes. The coming of age comedy received a theatrical release over the summer and now makes its way in Netflix on Feb. 10.

“Dope,” directed and written by Rick Famuyiwa, follows Malcom, played Shameik Moore, a geeky teen growing up in a rough neighborhood, and the shenanigans that arise when he unwittingly carries a backpack full of dope and is coaxed into unloading its contest, lest he face the wrath of a very influential drug dealer.

Also featuring Blake Anderson, A$AP Rocky, Quincy brown, Kersey Clemons, Tony Revolori, Chanel Iman and Zoe Kravitz.
