Harrison Ford Could Make $34 Million from 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'

Golden Eye For Lifetime Achievement - Press Conference - Zurich Film Festival 2013It’s a good morning to be Harrison Ford. And his agent.

The actor stands to make $34 million for reprising his role as Han Solo in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” according to a report in the Daily Mail.

Ford reportedly got 76 times the $450,000 flat fee for newcomers John Boyega and Daisy Ridley, though with “Star Wars” blasting box office records, the pair — positioned as the new stars — should expect galactic paydays in the future.

It also meant that Ford collected considerably more than the $1.5 million reportedly paid to Carrie Fisher to return as General (formerly Princess) Leia, adding fuel to the controversy about Hollywood gender inequality.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” lived up to galaxy-size expectations and then rocketed past them, becoming the number one opening movie in North America of all time with $279 million, according to weekend estimates.

That topped the previous record of $209 million set just this summer by “Jurassic World.”
