Weekend Preview: 'Hello, My Name Is Doris,' '10 Cloverfield Lane' and More

This weekend at the box office “Hello, My Name Is Doris,” “10 Cloverfield Lane,” “Knight of Cups” and “The Perfect Match” bring suspense and laughs to the big screen.

In “Hello, My Name Is Doris,” Sally Field plays an awkward 60-something who falls for a hunky coworker who’s half her age, played by Max Greenfield. Field, 69, tells Made in Hollywood that Doris “was a very intricate character to develop and  hold on to.”

Terrence J. stars as a playboy who may be looking for more when he meets his match in a mystery woman in “The Perfect Match.” Singer-actress Cassie stars as the object of his affection in the rom-com by executive producer Queen Latifah. Also costarring Paula Patton, Lauren London, “Orange Is the New Black” star Dascha Polanco, Robert Christopher Riley, Donald Faison, rapper French Montana, and Jennifer Lopez’s boyfriend Beau Casper Smart.

A group of strangers are sheltered from the dangers outside in their post-apocalyptic world, but when someone deigns to venture out, all hell breaks loose. Starring John Goodman,  John Gallagher, Jr.and Elizabeth Winstead in “10 Cloverfield Lane.”

Shot in an observational manner and without a script, Terrence Malick’s “Knight of Cups” tells the story of a Hollywood screenwriter, played by Christian Bale, who spirals into a world of excess after suffering a traumatic experience. The cast features Cate BlanchettAntonio Banderas, Brian Dennehy, Freida Pinto, Imogen Poots, Isabel Lucas, Teresa Palmer and Wes Bentley.
