LeBron James is a four-time NBA Most Valuable Player. But can he dunk on Bugs Bunny?

The Cleveland Cavaliers star is set to launch into the Hollywood universe after it was announced that he’s partnering with Warner Bros. to make TV, movie and digital content.

This has given new life to rumors that the NBA king’s next move is to star in “Space Jam 2” – a sequel to 1996’s animated-live action movie that featured Michael Jordan and Bill Murray.

Is this a good move for the basketball star who’s acting career is picking up steam? Twitter commenter pointed out that most children today aren’t even familiar with Looney Tunes characters; noting that “all they know about now are the Minions.”

The last time Daffy Duck, Road Runner, Taz and Bugs were in the box office was nearly 12 years ago – 2003’s “Looney Tunes: Back in Action,” starring two real-life people children today have never heard of, Brendan Fraser and Jenna Elfman.

The speculation comes after Warner Bros. renewed its trademark for the movie last month, which followed a Deadline report in February that King James was indeed tapped to take on the role, but he denied the claims at the time.

Still, according to the “Trainwreck” actor himself, who won praise from Hollywood observers for his comedic timing in the Amy Schumer-led movie, filling Michael Jordan’s size 13s would be a “wish” come true. In 2012, the baller replied to a fan’s tweet that asked if he liked “Space Jam,” and he responded: “I love that movie. Wish I could do Space Jam 2!”

Dots connected.

And if starring in a “Space Jam 2” isn’t in his future, he can always try his hand at directing. In a recent Funny or Die sketch, he plotted out some plans for a “Trainwreck 2” that had some nefarious developments.

That’s all, folks!
